How Android 17’s New ECH Protection Works

ECH encrypts that domain name before the connection begins.

ECH works only when the website or app also supports the technology.
Google says it is working with service providers, app developers, and other companies to increase adoption.
Android 17 will also enable something called ECH GREASE by default.
